The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Thursday that Southwest Airline Co.'s new service to Hawaii has been delayed due to the federal government shutdown, according to a report from Los Angeles Times. The delay is due to aviation inspectors, which are essential in providing certification for operations, being among those furloughed.
