The grounding of the 737 Max aircraft is causing ripple effects throughout the airline industry, including pilot hires and promotions at Southwest Airlines. Typically, Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) hosts 60-day training sessions for new pilot hires, called first officers, throughout the year in Dallas. And eventually with enough experience, first officers can take training classes to become captains. Due to the 737 Max grounding, the Dallas-based airline said it made the "difficult decision"…
