BART will study extending subway service to the Richmond District in San Francisco. Bob Powers, the new general manager of Bay Area Rapid Transit, told the San Francisco Examiner that the agency will include "west side access” as part of its study for a second transbay rail crossing. The agency's board earlier this year approved a $50 million, 10-year contract with HNTB Corp. to advise the agency on planning for the second crossing, which could be either a tube similar to the existing connection…
